How to apply electric blue makeup...without looking like a smurf?

I have an electric blue top, and eyeshadow, eyeliner and nail polish in the same color (also a mascara, but think that might be a bit over the top).


I'd love it to look great, but don't wanty to overdo it...


Suggestions ?

The mistake there is that you're matching your eye make-up to your clothes...that's what over does it!! I think you have to choose one or the other. As for applying electric blue make up...use a light blue shade (or just a light neutral shade) on the whole of the eyelid and just apply the electric blue to the outer corner or do a light line of it above the lashes. When you get more used to wearing this sort of colour you can experiment, do your whole lids blue...practice makes perfect! :)How to apply electric blue makeup...without looking like a smurf?
nails are fine but i think you should go with black mascara and either eyeshadow OR eyeliner. you can add other colors too that wont ruin the ';blue look';

use an eye liner brush to make a thin line of eye shadow along your lash line





and paint the tips of your nails blue
